Job summary

Vista Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Full-time Laundry Aide to support daily operations of the laundry department under the Supervisor's guidance.

You will manage time well, work with teammates, follow infection control protocols, label garments, record loads and inventory, and assist with par-level stocking. On-the-job training provided; must learn equipment and safety measures.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, and understand instructions.
• Physical ability to push/pull/move and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Able to move intermittently throughout the day.

Job Location: Vista Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center - Lewisville, TX 75067, Job Shift: Any, We are searching for a Full time laundry aide to support the functions of our facility. The primary purpose of this position is to perform the day-to-day activities of our department as directed by the Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent time management skills.
• Work well with team members.
• Follow proper infection control protocols.
• Label or mark personal articles of clothing (blankets, sweaters, etc.) for laundry with identifying information including name, barcode or reference number as appropriate.
• Record production and inventory information in accordance with facility policies (i.e., pounds of laundry, loads, etc.).
• Prepare linen and supply order to meet established par levels as directed by the Laundry Supervisor to replenish stock and/or replace frayed or torn items.
• Attend department and staff meetings as directed or called.
• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments; non-routine assignments as directed.
• Perform assigned tasks in accordance with established laundry procedures and facility policies.
