Job summary

The Laundry worker will wash and dry linen and resident's clothes. He/She will see that all clean linen is returned to the linen storage area as quickly as possible. He/She will see that resident's clothes are promptly returned to the owners, are properly identified and report losses and damages of resident's laundry.

He/She maintains an inventory of linens and laundry supplies. High School diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous experience preferable but not essential.
• Understanding of standard laundry procedures for patients, clothes, linens, equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work well with coworkers and under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Wash and dry linen and residents' clothes.
• Return clean linen to storage area promptly.
• Return residents' clothes to owners, properly identifying them.
• Report losses and damages of laundry items and maintain inventory of linens and supplies.
