Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a reliable laundry assistant to support resident services. You will collect soiled linens and personal clothing, sort by fabric and soil, operate industrial washers and dryers, and deliver clean items to rooms. Items will be labeled to prevent loss, and sanitation standards will be upheld daily.

On-the-job training is provided; a High School diploma is preferred. Prior experience is not required, but reliability, cooperation, and the ability to work under supervision are

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous experience preferable but not essential.
• On-the-job training with supervision provided.
• Must understand standard procedures used in laundry services for patients and in caring for clothes, linens, equipment and supplies.
• Ability to cooperate and work under supervision; able to work well with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Collect dirty linens, towels, and residents' personal clothing.
• Sort items by fabric type, color, and degree of soil, separating items that need special stain treatment.
• Load industrial washers and dryers, add proper amounts of detergent or bleach, and operate equipment safely.
• Fold clean items, stack them neatly, and deliver fresh linens or labeled personal clothes back to resident rooms or storage areas.
• Mark new resident clothing and personal items with identifying names or barcodes to prevent loss.
• Clean and disinfect laundry equipment and work areas daily; follow infection control standards and universal precautions when handling soiled items.
• Other assigned duties from supervisor.
