Job summary

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa is seeking an experienced Laundry Mechanic to maintain and optimize our high-volume hospitality laundry equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, perform preventative maintenance, and promptly repair breakdowns to sustain production efficiency.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical skills, ability to read schematics, and adherence to OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in industrial laundry or related mechanical maintenance.
• Experience with high-volume commercial laundry equipment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and conveyor systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair industrial machinery in a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience reading technical manuals, diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial laundry equipment (washers, dryers, ironers, folders, pumps, boilers).
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair needs promptly.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify reliability improvement opportunities.
• Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure equipment safety and compliance with OSHA and manufacturer specs.
• Collaborate with operations leaders and staff to support production goals.
• Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Laundry Mechanic to join our team. This critical role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing industrial laundry equipment in a high-volume hospitality laundry operation. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience working with industrial laundry systems, and a commitment to maintaining operational efficiency, safety, and equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, folders, pumps, boilers, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair needs.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and operational effectiveness.
• Perform routine inspections of motors, bearings, belts, valves, compressors, and other mechanical components.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensure equipment operates safely and in compliance with company standards, OSHA regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
• Collaborate with operations leaders and laundry staff to support production goals and maintain uninterrupted workflow.
• Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
