Job description

The position serves as the Textile Care Work Leader for the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS). The position leads workers engaged in laundry and linen operations, including processing, distribution, equipment operation, and associated support programs. The position performs nonsupervisory laundry and textile care work and provides day to day technical direction to a multi grade team.

DRIVER'S LICENSE REQUIREMENT

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK CONDITIONS

Work requires daily walking, standing, bending, reaching, stooping, pushing carts, pulling loads, and lifting items up to 50 pounds. Some administrative work is sedentary. Work is performed in hot, humid environments with strong odors, noise, moving machinery, and potential exposure to infectious materials and chemicals. PPE is mandatory. Work involves confined spaces and mechanical hazards requiring strict adherence to safety procedures.

IMPORTANT

A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
