Job summary

Northwest Employment Works is seeking a full-time laundry facility position in Wisconsin. The role combines warehouse-style garment processing with on-the-road delivery responsibilities, requiring reliable transportation and a valid G license.

You will sort, load, fold, label, and package garments while operating laundry equipment and maintaining safety standards. Ideal candidates have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, good communication and time management skills, and are physically fit to lift

• Ability to sew repairs and alterations is an asset or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled garments and load/unload industrial laundry equipment.
• Fold, label, package garments for delivery and maintain a clean workspace.
• Operate laundry machinery and perform day-to-day preventative maintenance.
• Deliver/distribute garments and mats to customers; drive safely in all weather.

Wage: $25.00 Hourly

Facility Job Description

• Sorting soiled garments,
• Loading/unloading industrial size washing machines and dryers,
• Folding and sorting and labelling garments
• Packaging clean garments for delivery
• Safely operate machinery and perform day-to-day preventative maintenance,
• Keep a clean working environment and can perform housekeeping duties as needed,
• Sewing experience (not required) will be considered an asset, (everyone will be trained to do repairs).
• Willingness to learn different roles and operate various equipment.

Driver Responsibilities

• All facility duties as described
• Can drive safely in all weather conditions within townships, on highways, on jobsites and gravel roads,
• Conduct vehicle circle checks, maintenance vehicle and accurate records of such including mileage
• Fuel and clean vehicle
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Act in a professional manner with all clients, have strong communication skills and time management skills to meet delivery times.
• Deliver/distribute garments/mats/linens to customers
• Load/unload bins and bags

Job Demands

• Work on your feet for long periods of time,
• Repetitive lifting and bending while handling garments,
• Push and pull force for laundry bins can be up to 200 lbs.
• Environment with elevated heat and noise level
• Fast-paced work environment with attention to detail
• Initiative to exceed and accomplish work tasks accurately
• Willingness to learn how to operate in all areas of the laundry facility
• Have strong communication skills and time management skills
• Must be physically fit to lift 50 lbs.
