Job summary

Glendive Medical Center is seeking a dependable Laundry & Environmental Services Technician to join our team in Glendive, MT. The role combines laundry operations with environmental services to keep patient areas clean, safe, and welcoming.

Starting wage is $15.30+ per hour, with on-the-job training provided. Schedule Friday through Monday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM. No experience? Training is available to motivated candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• On-the-job training provided for motivated candidates who are eager to learn.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Experience in housekeeping, custodial, laundry, hospitality, or environmental services is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Deliver clean linens throughout the facility.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the laundry area.
• Clean patient/resident rooms and common areas per infection control guidelines.
• Restock supplies and report maintenance needs.

Glendive Medical Center is looking for a dependable Laundry & Environmental Services Technician to join our team. This unique role supports both Laundry Services and Environmental Services, helping ensure our patients, residents, visitors, and staff have a clean, safe, and welcoming environment every day.

What You'll Do

Laundry Operations

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and resident clothing
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Deliver clean linens throughout the facility
• Monitor linen inventory and restock supplies as needed
• Maintain laundry equipment and report maintenance concerns
• Help keep the laundry department clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Assist with training new employees and supporting department needs

Environmental Services

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, resident rooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
• Sanitize high-touch surfaces to support infection prevention efforts
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and carpets
• Remove waste and biohazard materials according to established procedures
• Restock supplies in assigned areas
• Clean GMC-owned apartments and other assigned spaces
• Assist with bed preparation and linen changes
• Follow all safety, PPE, and infection control guidelines

Qualifications

Preferred

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous housekeeping, custodial, laundry, hospitality, or environmental services experience

No Experience? No Problem.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to work in a physically active environment throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds when handling soiled linens
