Job summary

Aramark United States is seeking a Seasonal Laundry Driver to support the Fair View Lodge at Mesa Verde National Park. You will deliver linens to on-property closets and off-property outlets, operate safely, and participate in all laundry facility duties with emphasis on guest-facing service.

This role requires physical work including lifting up to 60 pounds, English communication, a valid driver license, and the ability to work outdoors at high elevation.

Qualifications

• Must be age 21 years or older.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
• Must have a valid Driver License with a clean driving record showing 3 years of prior safe driving.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and be willing to participate in the random drug/alcohol testing pool.
• Must be dependable.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Cleaning Service Worker duties for Laundry Facility
• Must be able to work physically hard, able to deal with constant lifting and bending
• Must be able to lift items exceeding 60 pounds
• Must complete a daily vehicle inspection form prior to driving
• Drivers are required to drive defensively, safely and cautiously at all times and in all situations
• Deliver linens and other relevant laundry items to on-property closets and off-property outlets
• Ensure the laundry has a constant supply of clean linen
• Exceptional customer service skills are needed when encountering guests; to ensure a good positive representation of Mesa Verde National Park is demonstrated at all times
• Utilize all safety equipment available, always wear seat belt when driving
• Fully utilize all safety equipment, also ensure proper bending, lifting and carrying techniques are adhered to
• Understand the machinery and chemicals used
• Be aware of MSDS sheets and books and read and use this information when necessary
• Identify maintenance and safety issues and take the correct steps to correct them — always ensuring the Housekeeping and Laundry Manager is notified
• Maintain a positive attitude — always be willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed
• Attend all scheduled department and safety meetings
• Share innovative ideas to improve efficiency and operations
• Other duties as assigned

About Mesa Verde National Park:

Mesa Verde National Park is the archaeological wonder of Colorado. Famous for the elaborate sandstone cliff dwellings built by the Ancestral Puebloans, the park protects over 5,000 sites & over 600 dwellings that date back more than 1,400 years ago. Aramark operates the Fair View Lodge just 15 miles from the park’s entrance. Enjoy the tranquility & all activities Mesa Verde has to offer including hiking, guided tours, photography, camping, & birdwatching.

The Laundry department’s Laundry Driver supplies clean linens to the lodge and boat rentals, returning used ones to the laundry facility to be processed and redistributed. Drivers’ are required to operate an efficient, consistent, safe and timely delivery service. Assists in all areas of the Laundry facility: sorting, washing, drying, folding, wrapping, loading and unloading machines.

COMPENSATION

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $16.00 to $16.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
