Description

The Laundry Attendant is a crucial element to the success of Coury Hospitality. This position will be responsible for the cleaning, pressing, and folding of laundry as needed. They may also be responsible for the maintenance of laundry equipment and other duties around the facility. The Laundry Attendant will be the first line in ensuring that all textiles, linens, and other laundered items are well cared for and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items.
• Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures.
• Performing minor sewing duties.
• Tracking which items belong to whom.
• Keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents and sewing kits.
• Tracking maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment.
• Ensuring that the facility always remains clean.
• Anticipating and responding to customers' queries, concerns, and complaints.
• Assisting fellow laundry attendants in loading and unloading laundry washers and dryers.
• Maintaining inventory levels, including detergents, sewing kits, and other supplies, and keeping it updated regularly.
• Responding to customer complaints professionally.
• Providing various other laundry services as required.

Requirements

Physical Demands

• Repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred.

Required Personal Protective Equipment

• Comfortable, closed-toe, non-skid shoes.

Salary: $16.00 per hour.
