Job description

We take laundry seriously. So, we’re searching for a Laundry Attendant with an exceptional eye for detail and a passion for perfection to ensure every linen and guest item is washed, dried, and folded to meet our high standards.

Responsibilities include:

1. Cleaning and storing linens/uniforms promptly and organized to meet hotel laundry needs.
2. Receiving soiled lines, sorting by type, color, and soil level, and inspecting for damages or stains.
3. Operating washers and dryers according to guidelines, adding chemicals in correct quantities.
4. Folding and storing linens appropriately, operating linen feeders, sheet folders, towel folders, and table linen ironers.
5. Reporting repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
6. Monitoring supplies and minimizing waste.
7. Sorting and recording discarded linen and reporting damages or loss.
8. Promoting teamwork and quality service through communication with other departments.
9. Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills; laundry experience and English speaking ability preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, push or pull approximately 400 pounds.
• Frequent standing, moving, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Working in high-temperature areas around heavy equipment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
