Job summary

Sunny Ridge in Nampa, Idaho is seeking a part-time laundry staff member for weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm).

You will sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver resident linens and clothing, maintaining a clean, disinfected laundry area and following infection control policies. No healthcare experience required, but healthcare laundry experience is a plus, with the ability to lift 50-100 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, equivalent, or currently enrolled in high school.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Able to lift 50–100 lbs without assistance.
• Capable of standing or walking for extended periods.
• Willingness to work around body fluids and communicable diseases.
• Laundry experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled linens into appropriate baskets.
• Wash and dry linens and clothing per facility procedures.
• Fold and stack clean linens, preparing them for delivery.
• Load and transport clean linens on carts to designated areas.
• Deliver clean clothing and linens to resident rooms.
• Maintain a clean, organized laundry area and disinfect as required.
• Follow infection control policies and assist with other duties.

What you'll do:

• Sorts soiled linens (sheets, towels, resident clothing) into appropriate baskets
• Washes and dries linens and clothing per facility procedures
• Folds and stacks clean linens, preparing them for delivery
• Loads and transports clean linens on covered carts to designated areas
• Prepares resident clothing on hangers or racks for return
• Delivers clean clothing and linens to the correct resident rooms
• Organizes resident closets and places folded items in drawers
• Verifies all items are returned to the correct resident
• Maintains a clean, organized, and disinfected laundry area at shift end
• Follows all infection control policies and assists with other assigned duties

• Able to move and work in various positions, including tight or confined spaces
• Willingness to work around body fluids and communicable diseases
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50-100 lbs. without assistance
• Capable of standing or walking for extended periods
• Adequate vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices) to perform duties
• Meets facility health and employment requirements
