Purpose

Under the direction of the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager on duty, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer service by offering a clean, safe, and friendly store environment.

Position Responsibilities

Primary

• Customer Service and Satisfaction: Assists customers with payment systems, machine selection and operation, retail purchases, and wash/dry/fold orders; handles customer questions/concerns and reports to management as needed. Maintains a neat appearance and wears the appropriate uniform.
• Store Safety and Security: Ensures a safe environment inside and outside the store by following security procedures and prioritizing safety.
• Store Cleanliness and Upkeep: Maintains cleanliness inside and outside the store, follows cleaning routines, and documents completion.
• Building and Equipment Maintenance: Reports maintenance issues and escalates unsafe situations to management.
• Retail: Keeps retail product displays attractive, understands products, educates customers, processes sales accurately, and encourages additional purchases.
• Wash/Dry/Fold: Provides quality service by selecting appropriate equipment, completing orders carefully, and addressing customer concerns promptly. Reports any claims to management.
• Policies and Procedures: Follows all company policies and procedures at all times.
• All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Experience

• Knowledge of commercial laundry products and payment systems is a plus but not required.

Skills and Abilities

• Effective communication and ability to work with diverse individuals.
• English proficiency required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Build strong customer relationships quickly.
• Basic computer skills.
• Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for long periods, stand, perform manual tasks, stoop, and bend.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently; assistive devices provided for heavier items.
