Job description

We take laundry seriously. We are seeking a Laundry Attendant with an eye for detail and a passion for perfection to ensure every linen and guest item is washed, dried, and folded to our high standards.

Responsibilities include:

1. Cleaning and storing linens/uniforms in an organized manner to meet the hotel's laundry needs.
2. Receiving soiled lines, sorting by type, color, and soil level, and inspecting for damages or stains.
3. Operating washers and dryers according to guidelines, adding chemicals correctly.
4. Folding and storing clean linens appropriately, operating linen feeder, sheet folder, towel folder, and ironer machines.
5. Reporting repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
6. Monitoring supplies and minimizing waste.
7. Sorting and recording discarded linen, reporting damages or loss.
8. Promoting teamwork and quality service through communication with other departments.
9. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills; laundry experience and English speaking ability preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, push or pull approximately 400 pounds.
• Frequent standing, movement, handling objects and equipment, bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in high-temperature areas.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with staff and supervisors.
• Basic math skills for chemical handling and logging.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
