Job summary

Merete Hotel Management is seeking a Laundry Attendant to operate washing and drying machines, wash, dry, and fold linens for guests, and keep the laundry area organized and efficient.

Successful candidates will have strong time management, clear guest and team communication, and the ability to work under time constraints in a fast-paced hotel environment. A background check is required, with benefits including health coverage and PTO.

Qualifications

• Prev hotel laundry or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and teammates.
• Ability to work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate washing and drying machines to wash, dry, and fold linens.
• Unload and sort soiled linen; load machines with correct amounts.
• Sort and fold clean linen; oversee laundry equipment operation.
• Maintain a clean and orderly laundry room.
• Cross-train for additional duties as assigned.
• Show reliability with regular attendance and punctuality.

Load machines with the proper amount of soiled linen.Unload washers and load dryers.Sort and fold clean linen.Oversee the proper operation of the washers and dryers.Keep the laundry room clean and orderly.Complete other duties as assigned to include cross training.Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.Treating others with respect and behaving in a manner that is positive, productive and encourages teamwork at all times is an essential function of this job.PHYSICAL DESCRIPTIONLift and carry average weight of 20lbs frequently, maximum weight frequently 50lbs.Standing/walking up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet.Reaching/overhead extension to pull items down.
