Job summary

Caesars Entertainment is seeking a Laundry Attendant in Council Bluffs to manually sort and process soiled textiles, weigh and move carts, and support housekeeping with cleanliness across rooms and linen areas.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly, teamwork, and flexibility to work various shifts. Full-time benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, and tuition support for eligible team members.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
• Must perform duties with a sense of urgency.
• Must be able to continuously lift and grab heavy laundry up to 50 pounds at a time from ground to above head level.
• Must be able to push carts weighing up to 300 pounds.
• Must tolerate high temperatures and high noise levels environment.
• Must work any day of the week and any shift.

Responsibilities

• Manually pull dirty laundry from chute area (250 lbs. per hour throughout entire shift).
• Visually identify and manually sort various types of dirty laundry including bed sheets, pillowcases, bedspreads, and terry.
• Push and walk carts to scale for weighing after they are full.
• Accurately weigh cart with 225 lbs. of laundry on scale.
• Load laundry from scale to washer and monitor cycles.
• Read and write data from machine on a log sheet.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment and work area.
• Greet guests and work as part of the Housekeeping team.
• Maintain cleanliness of hotel rooms, hallways, linen rooms, and storage areas.

Responsibilities

• Manually pull dirty laundry from chute area (250 lbs. per hour throughout entire shift).
• Visually identify and manually sort various types of dirty laundry including bed sheets, pillowcases, bedspreads, and terry.
• Once carts are full, push and walk carts to scale for weighing.
• Accurately weigh cart with 225 lbs. of laundry (not including cart weight) on scale.
• After weighing the laundry, quickly push and maneuver carts from the scale to the washer for loading.
• After loading the washer, read and write data from machine on a log sheet.
• Monitor length of operating cycle of washer/dryer while carrying out other assigned duties.
• When washer/dryer cycle is complete, reach and manually unload and loosen clean laundry into carts.
• Push and maneuver carts to the feeder/sorter area.
• Be able to work as a team with other employees.
• Turns in all lost and found items to ensure proper logging and distribution of time.
• Reports all safety hazards or maintenance deficiencies for proper handling.
• Maintains and cleans all equipment used throughout the course of a shift.
• The Laundry Attendant will also help to maintain cleanliness of hotel rooms, hallways, linen rooms, employee and storage areas in the hotel as directed by Housekeeping Team leader and/or Supervisor.
• Laundry attendants will greet all guests throughout shift with the proper salutation and pleasant expression.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, push, pull and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to climb or step continually and quickly maneuver in small work areas.
• Ability to bend, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, climb, kneel and crouch.
