Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Laundry Worker to keep linens and garments clean and ready for residents in a long-term care facility. You will join a team dedicated to a welcoming, hygienic environment and excellent resident experience.

The role emphasizes safety, PPE, and consistent, courteous service, with opportunities for hands-on training and career development. A high school diploma is preferred, and lifting up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around cleaning products.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
