Job summary

JL Hospitality Management, LLC is hiring a Laundry Attendant to maintain a steady supply of clean linens and towels for our hotels. You will sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry while ensuring a safe, efficient operation and high cleanliness standards.

The role requires dependability, organization, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Prior hotel or commercial laundry experience is preferred, with opportunities to grow within our portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, commercial laundry, or cleaning preferred.
• Dependable and able to report to work as scheduled.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn and safely operate commercial laundry equipment.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled linens and towels according to established procedures.
• Load and unload commercial washers and dryers safely and efficiently.
• Operate laundry equipment according to manufacturer instructions and established hotel procedures.
• Wash and dry linens, towels, and other hotel items using appropriate cycles and cleaning products.
• Fold, organize, and store clean linens and towels.
• Maintain a consistent supply of clean linens and terry for daily operations.
• Prepare and distribute clean linens and towels to Housekeeping areas as needed.
• Collect or transport soiled linens from designated hotel areas.
• Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear and communicate needs to leadership.
• Separate damaged linens and coordinate replacements with Housekeeping leadership.
• Rewash or reprocess linens when necessary to meet cleanliness standards.
• Maintain organization and rotation of clean linen inventory.
• Assist with linen and laundry supply inventories as assigned.
• Monitor laundry supplies and communicate replenishment needs to management.
• Keep washers, dryers, lint traps, carts, work tables and equipment clean.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry room and linen storage areas.
• Sweep, mop, remove trash, and complete other cleaning responsibilities in laundry area.
• Report malfunctioning equipment, leaks, or safety hazards promptly.
• Follow procedures for use, storage, and handling of laundry chemicals.
• Maintain accurate laundry records when required.
• Assist with Housekeeping linen inventories and transportation.
