Job summary

Comfort Inn & Suites St. Paul Northeast is seeking a friendly Laundry Attendant to maintain clean linens and towels for guest rooms and support housekeeping in daily operations.

You will sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, keep the laundry area organized, and assist with stripping rooms and stocking carts. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

No prior laundry experience is required, but reliability, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strip guest rooms by removing used linens, towels, and trash for housekeeping.
• Clean and maintain hotel public areas as needed (lobby, hallways, restrooms, elevators).
• Work cooperatively with housekeeping to meet daily operational needs.

Laundry Attendants are responsible for providing clean, well-maintained linens and towels (terry) for guest rooms while assisting the housekeeping department with daily operations. This includes stripping guest rooms and maintaining the cleanliness of public areas as needed.

Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Functions: - Laundry Attendant:

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold all guest room linens and towels.
• Ensure clean linens and towels are properly organized and available for housekeeping staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained laundry facility by following the Laundry Attendant checklist.
• Properly operate laundry equipment and follow established safety procedures.
• Strip guest rooms by removing used linens, towels, and trash to assist housekeeping staff.
• Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including the lobby, hallways, public restrooms, elevators, and other common areas as needed.
• Work cooperatively with the housekeeping team to ensure daily operational needs are met.

• Assist guests with requests and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Assist in delivering clean linens and towels to storage rooms or housekeeping carts.
• Assist in removing soiled linens and towels from guest rooms.
• Assist housekeeping staff with stripping rooms and preparing rooms for cleaning.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining public areas when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by hotel management.

Scheduling Requirements

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
