Laundry Attendant - Boston -Seaport Residence Inn

Job Description

A Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and supply of linens and towels in the hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash, dry, fold, and sort all hotel linens and towels.
  • Load and unload washers and dryers according to load volume standards.
  • Supply linens and amenities to the Front Desk for after-hour use, as directed.
  • Take inventory and control the movement of soiled, damaged, and fresh linen.
  • Provide the highest quality service to guests.
  • Maintain and operate all laundry equipment per established procedures.
  • Maintain an ample supply of clean linens and towels.
  • Clean dryer lint screens and drain traps twice daily and as needed.
  • Inspect for and treat stains with stain removal procedures.
  • Participate in monthly inventory counts.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions to maintenance immediately.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with guests, vendors, co-workers, and management.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to move luggage, packages, and/or furniture weighing up to forty pounds.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
