Job summary

Azul Hospitality Group is hiring a Laundry Attendant for our Phoenix property as part of the pre-opening team. You will be responsible for washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens to ensure cleanliness and presentation.

The role supports housekeeping to provide fresh, comfortable accommodations for guests. We value detail-oriented team players who communicate well and can use basic computer systems for inventory and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required.
• Previous experience in laundry department preferred.
• Experience using industrial washing, drying, ironing equipment preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, write English.
• Excellent customer relations skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform all stages of linen processing (washing, drying, folding, organizing).
• Inspect linens and remove ripped or soiled items.
• Operate ironing and folding, stock linen carts.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic maintenance.
• Deliver and stock linen in housekeeping areas.
• Assist housekeeping and other duties as needed.

We’d love to meet you!POSITION PURPOSEPerform all stages of linen processing, including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, and unloading (washers, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding, storing and delivering.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESInspect linens to remove ripped or soiled items.Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc. as directed by management.Clean dryer filter daily and maintain all equipment as trained.Operate iron as per hotel standards.Fold linens/towels and stock linen carts as required.Sweep and mop laundry floors storing all linens off the floor.Sort dried articles according to identification number or type. Fold and place item in appropriate storage bin.Execute all work processes safely. Observe all safety procedures and operate machinery always in keeping with safety requirements.Clean and maintain equipment and machinery. Perform all Preventative maintenance required or contact supervisor and/or maintenance department.Mend torn articles as needed.Deliver and stock terry and linen in all linen closets, housekeeping carts, Fitness Center, and Pool.Ensure work areas are left clean and organized.Assist Housekeeping in the cleaning of Guest Rooms and Public Areas as needed.All other duties assigned by managers and supervisors.SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONSIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:Assist with any guest inquiry.Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by direct and indirect Supervisors.PHYSICAL DEMANDSEnvironmental conditions are inside, a job is considered inside if staff spends approximately 75 percent or more of the time inside.
