Now Hiring: Laundry Attendant
Location: Homewood Suites by Hilton Springfield Medical District
Assist with the removal of soiled linens from guest rooms, removing stains if needed.
Dispose of or repurpose/recycle linens as designated by hotel standards.
Wash bed wraps, duvets, mattress pads, and blankets in accordance with hotel standards.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of laundry and storage areas.
Operate washers and dryers properly, ensuring correct detergents and amounts are used.
Load articles into washers, add cleaning agents, and transfer wet items to dryers.
Sort dried articles by identification number or type.
Fold all linens to hotel standards and keep stock organized.
Ensure the cleanliness of equipment.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including chemical handling per MSDS guidelines.
Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and wear proper uniform per company policy.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Perform other related duties as required.

1 year in a housekeeping role preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Schedule may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods (up to 8+ hours).
Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, and pulling of carts and bags.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Repetitive hand and arm movements for folding and sorting.
Good visual/manual dexterity to identify stains and fabric types.
Ability to safely operate laundry machinery.
Must be able to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, pinching with fingers, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.
Exposure to heat, humidity, and steam from laundry equipment.
Exposure to cleaning chemicals, detergents, and possible allergens.
May encounter high noise levels from machines and ventilation.
Occasional exposure to soiled linens and potentially biohazardous materials.
