Job summary

OTH Hotels Resorts is seeking a Laundry Attendant to operate laundry equipment and ensure timely cleaning and delivery of hotel linens, towels, and uniforms. The role supports housekeeping and hotel operations, maintaining high cleanliness and inventory readiness in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires standing, lifting 25–50 lb loads, and working flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training is available; experience preferred but not required.

  • Laundry Processing & Equipment Operation: Sort soiled linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items by type, color, and cleaning requirements.
  • Quality Control & Linen Care: Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear and report items requiring replacement.
  • Inventory & Distribution Support: Maintain accurate records of laundry processed and items distributed.
  • Facility Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility and equipment.
  • Team Support & Operational Assistance: Assist housekeeping and hotel teams with linen-related needs as required.

Job Overview

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for operating laundry equipment and ensuring all hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and related items are cleaned, processed, and delivered in a timely and efficient manner. This role supports housekeeping and overall hotel operations by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and inventory readiness.

This position operates in a fast-paced, physically active environment with continuous movement, repetitive tasks, and exposure to heat, moisture, and cleaning chemicals. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting and moving laundry carts (often 25–50 lbs or more), and working flexible shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to maintain efficiency in a production-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities
Laundry Processing & Equipment Operation
  • Sort soiled linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items by type, color, and cleaning requirements.
  • Operate commercial washers, dryers, and pressing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Load and unload laundry machines while ensuring proper handling of all materials.
  • Add appropriate detergents, chemicals, and cleaning agents according to established procedures.
Quality Control & Linen Care
  • Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear and report items requiring replacement.
  • Fold, press, hang, and package clean laundry items according to hotel standards.
  • Ensure all items meet cleanliness and quality expectations prior to distribution.
Inventory & Distribution Support
  • Maintain accurate records of laundry processed and items distributed.
  • Deliver clean linens and uniforms to housekeeping and designated storage areas.
  • Assist with monitoring and tracking linen inventory levels and supply needs.
Facility Cleanliness & Safety
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility and equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures for handling chemicals and operating machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel sanitation, safety, and operational standards.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly to management.
Team Support & Operational Assistance
  • Assist housekeeping and hotel teams with linen-related needs as required.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding production flow and supply needs.
  • Support efficient daily operations through teamwork and reliability.
Job Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred; on-the-job training may be provided.

Travel required: No travel required.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of laundry carts (25–50 lbs. or more).
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements include folding, sorting, and loading/unloading machines.
  • Ability to work in warm, humid, and high-moisture environments.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and detergents in a controlled environment.
  • Continuous physical activity throughout the work shift.
