Job summary

PEG Company seeks a Laundry Attendant to ensure hotel linens and towels are cleaned, pressed, and presented to high standards. You will operate laundry equipment, sort items, inspect for damage, and deliver clean linens to designated areas.

You will work with a team in a hotel setting, following safety procedures and PPE guidelines while supporting housekeeping efficiency and guest comfort.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to follow job duties.
• Ability to work varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience in a hotel environment highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load, sort, and process linens, towels, and guest laundry according to established procedures.
• Inspect laundry for stains, tears, and damage; treat stains as required.
• Fold, press, and organize laundered items neatly for distribution.
• Maintain accurate counts of clean and soiled linens.
• Deliver clean linens to designated storage or housekeeping areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry facility, equipment, and storage areas.
• Assist with inventory and report shortages or equipment malfunctions.
• Follow all hotel safety, security, and sanitation procedures.
• Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests and co-workers.
• Adhere to precautions and use PPE for all chemicals as outlined on SDS.
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs.

• Must be able to push up to 75 pounds, lift and carry up to 25 lbs.


• Must be able to visually inspect linens and terry.
