Job summary

Peregrine Hospitality is seeking a Laundry Attendant in Navarre, FL. You will manage linen processing, operate washers and dryers, and ensure items are sorted, cleaned, and stored to high standards.

The role requires a friendly, professional demeanor, strong multi-tasking abilities, and adherence to safety and hotel procedures. Work authorization in the United States is required.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the hotel with authenticity, enthusiasm, professionalism, and business like appearance to all guests and clients.
  • Retrieve all soiled linens to be sorted and treated.
  • Load laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents, then dry as indicated.
  • Sort and fold or hang clean items according to quality standards.
  • Sort items by color, weight, and fabric type when necessary or directed.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and inform a supervisor when needed.
  • Maintain laundry equipment and notify facilities manager of maintenance needs.
  • Uphold a friendly demeanor with all guests and greet on entry/exit.
  • Adhere to hotel policies and procedures throughout tasks.
  • Follow safety procedures as your role is defined.

Job description

You will be responsible for the laundry services of the hotel, ensuring each station is always organized, clean, and ready for work. When working, you have a positive and engaging attitude with guests and coworkers, in addition to ensure the quality and success of each service. You are great at multi-tasking and can follow instructions well. The Laundry Attendant is a fast-paced worker who thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities of the Ideal Candidate:
  • Represent the hotel with authenticity, enthusiasm, professionalism, and business like appearance and demeanor to all hotel guests, clients, prospective clients, agents, and the community.
  • Retrieve all soiled linens to be sorted and treated.
  • Load laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents to then be dried as indicated.
  • Sort and fold or hang clean dried items according to company quality standards.
  • Sort items by color, weight, and/or fabric type when necessary or when directed.
  • Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to a supervisor when necessary.
  • Maintain all laundry equipment and inform facilities manager as to any maintenance needs.
  • Uphold a friendly demeanor with all guests and interact accordingly, including salutations upon entry and exit.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures throughout the execution of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Sustain the safety of the property though risk-management behavior, proper inspections, participation in Safety and Security Committee and knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Following safety procedures as your role is defined.
Experience and Education:
  • 1 year of experience as a Laundry Attendant preferred.
  • Work authorization in the United States required.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

Flexible and long hours sometimes required

Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
