Job summary

Bass Pro Shops Big Cedar Lodge is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to sort, wash, fold, and organize resort linens including bed and table linens and towels. You will operate commercial washers and dryers, inspect items for stains and damage, and ensure timely completion of cycles while maintaining clean, safe work areas.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 0–2 years in resort laundry or housekeeping preferred.
  • Knowledge of laundering procedures, fabric care, and stain treatment.
  • Ability to operate and monitor commercial laundry equipment safely.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform a variety of housekeeping duties including sorting, washing, and processing resort linen including bed linens, table linens, and towels. Laundry will then be folded, ironed, and stacked, all in accordance with company procedures and standards.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Sort and separate laundry by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements.

  • Operate washers and dryers safely and efficiently, following proper procedures.

  • Monitor laundry cycles to ensure timely completion and prevent equipment issues.

  • Inspect items for stains or damage before and after washing; treat stains as needed.

  • Fold, hang, or organize clean laundry according to company standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and equipment.

  • Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.

  • Track inventory of laundry supplies and linens; notify supervisor when restocking is needed.

  • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

  • Assist with guest or staff laundry requests, ensuring timely and courteous service.

  • Label and store items properly to avoid loss or mix-ups.

  • Work collaboratively with housekeeping and other departments to meet operational needs.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Years of experience: 0-2 years of experience in resort laundry, housekeeping or other equivalent related field.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY


  • Knowledge of laundry procedures, fabric care, and stain treatment.

  • Skill in operating commercial washers, dryers, and related equipment.

  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines.

  • Attention to detail for inspecting and sorting laundry.

  • Time management and organizational skills.

  • Basic communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly walks, stands, and lifts up to 50 lbs. Seldom/Never sits, and does Computer Work. Additional Physical Requirements (Please list if applicable) Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally asked to lift up to 75 lbs.


INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT

Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
