Ascent Hospitality Laundry Attendant Job Description

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a qualified Laundry Attendant to join our team. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and care of all hotel guest room linens and terry, including Food and Beverage linens for full-service hotels. The Laundry Attendant coordinates with Housekeeping Management to ensure linen inventory levels are maintained.

Essential Functions

• Receive soiled linens from laundry chutes and carts
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store linens; handle heavy laundry loads
• Distribute cleaned linens to housekeeping and F&B staff
• Operate laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and irons
• Stock linens in appropriate areas and maintain inventory
• Replenish laundry supplies and keep the department clean and organized
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry machines and work areas
• Follow OSHA regulations and company policies
• Assist in other housekeeping areas as needed
• Respond promptly to housekeeping needs
• Use guest names appropriately when on guest floors and in rooms

• Basic English literacy and communication skills

Physical Demands

• Stand for long periods, handle and feel objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
• Work with cleaning chemicals and in warm, dusty environments
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds regularly
• Operate with good vision and in stressful situations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
