Job summary

The Town Club in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Laundry Attendant to maintain cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You will sort, wash, and stock linens and work with our hospitality team to ensure timely service.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and flexibility to work weekends or holidays. Pay rate is $20.80 per hour, and Jonathan Club is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as Laundry Attendant or equivalent.
• Understanding of cleaning detergents and laundering equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Strong organizational, multitasking and time management skills.
• Available to work assigned shifts including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sort linens by color, size, and material.
• Wrap items for pickup or delivery to guests.
• Wash items with commercial laundry equipment following sanitization protocols.
• Clean and maintain laundry room area and equipment.
• Unload laundry from commercial dryers.
• Stock laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, bags and fabric softener.
• Create laundry tags with identifiable customer information.
• Send and receive laundry from outside laundry company and account for all items.
• Receive and send back linens for banquets, restaurant or events.
• Conduct linen inventory and keep track of damaged linens.

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the following:

• Sorting linens, towels, clothing and other laundry items by color, size and material
• Wrapping laundry items for pickup or delivery to customers and hospitality guests
• Washing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols
• Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment
• Unloading laundry from commercial dryers
• Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener
• Creating laundry tags with identifiable customer information
• Sending and receiving laundry from outside laundry company and accounting for all items
• Receiving and sending back linens for banquets, restaurant or special events
• Conduct linen inventory and keep track of damage linens

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Laundry Attendant or equivalent role
• Understanding of cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Outstanding organizational, multitasking and time management skills
• Available to work assigned shifts as needed including weekends and/or holidays

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with members and guests.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment
• Reading and writing abilities are utilized often.
• Basic math skills are used frequently.

Pay Rate: $20.80/hour
