Job summary

The Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites is seeking a Laundry Attendant to manage washing, drying and folding of hotel linens with attention to cleanliness and efficiency. The role requires handling washing machines, drying, ironing, and storage of items, while maintaining a courteous guest-facing demeanor.

Responsibilities include operating washers, loading detergents, folding linens, and ensuring equipment cleanliness.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Load articles into washer and add specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent.
• Turn valve to fill washer with water.
• Start machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
• Lift clean, wet articles from washer and place them successively into wringers and driers for measured time cycles.
• Sort dried articles according to identification number or type.
• Fold and place item in appropriate storage bin.
• Iron all table linens.
• Lubricate machines, using grease gun and oil can.
• Ensure cleanliness of equipment.
• Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
• Other duties as assigned by the leader

This is an hourly position of $16 an hour
