Job summary

Auro Hotels is seeking a Laundry Attendant at Residence Inn/SpringHill Suites Greenville Downtown. You will ensure linen readiness for Housekeeping and F&B while keeping pace with demand.

The role requires flexibility to work shifts, adherence to safety rules, and coordination with hotel staff to maintain clean, ready laundry operations on site in Greenville, SC.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Ability to work any shift (1st & 2nd).

Responsibilities

• Sorts, washes, dries, and folds linen and terry. Sets aside damaged items for mending or extra cleaning.
• Keeps equipment clean and reports maintenance problems to supervisor.
• Maintains stocked, clean, and orderly laundry room and storerooms.
• Keeps supplies stocked and stored properly.
• Assists housekeeping in linen/towel stocking and cart setup.
• Gains working knowledge of property to answer guest questions effectively.
• Follows all safety and security procedures to maintain a safe environment.
• Keeps supervisor informed of any significant issues.

Description

Job Purpose

The Residence Inn/ SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Downtown Greenville is seeking Laundry Attendants. The purpose of the Laundry Attendant is to ensure cleanliness and availability of linen items for Housekeeping and Food & Beverage as necessary and to keep pace with demand.

Essential Job Functions

• Sorts, washes, dries, and folds all linen and terry. Pulls out of circulation stained and damaged linen and terry and sets aside for mending or extra cleaning.
• Keeps all equipment clean and reports maintenance problems to supervisor.
• Keeps laundry room and linen/terry storerooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Keeps all laundry and cleaning supplies stocked and stored properly.
• Assists housekeepers in stripping rooms of linen and terry and helps with stocking of housekeeping carts.
• Acquires working knowledge of the property and all facilities to respond to guest questions effectively.
• Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a secure and safe environment for all associated and guests.
• Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.
