Job summary

Senior Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Laundry Aide to support resident apartments with daily laundry duties. You will Strip beds, sort and transport laundry, and return clean items to rooms while assisting the housekeeping team as needed.

The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with responsibilities expanding to Friday cleanings and carpet shampooing as assigned. Prioritizes resident comfort and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Clean and complete laundry services for residents daily.
• Strip bed linens and remove laundry from rooms.
• Collect and transport residents' laundry and related items.
• Sort and process each resident's laundry to stay organized.
• Wash, dry, fold, and hang clothing and linens.
• Return clean laundry to rooms and put away in closets.
• Make beds and assist housekeeping as needed.
• Complete missed cleanings and assist with common area tasks on Fridays.

Laundry Aide Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

• Clean and complete laundry services for approximately 14-16 resident apartments daily.


• Strip bed linens and remove all laundry from resident rooms.


• Collect and transport residents' laundry, including clothing, linens, laundry baskets, hangers, detergent, dryer sheets, and other laundry-related items provided by the resident.


• Sort and process each resident's laundry separately to ensure items remain individualized and organized.


• Wash, dry, fold, and hang clothing and linens as appropriate.


• Return clean laundry to resident rooms and put away items in designated closets, drawers, or storage areas.


• Make beds and assist the housekeeping team as needed.

Teamwork Expectations:

• Housekeeping and laundry staff work collaboratively to ensure apartments are cleaned and laundry is completed on the same day whenever possible.


• Assist team members with additional housekeeping duties as needed to maintain community cleanliness and resident satisfaction.

Friday Responsibilities:

• Complete any missed apartment cleanings from the week.


• Perform common area and building cleaning tasks.


• Shampoo carpets as assigned.


• Clean and prepare vacant apartments for new residents.


• Assist with other housekeeping projects as directed.
