JOB TITLE: Laundry Attendant at the historic Abbey Resort

Job Summary:

Join the Abbey Resort team, located on the scenic shores of Geneva Lake, and help us exceed guest expectations by providing exceptional service, creating memorable experiences, and maintaining a positive attitude.

Basic Function:

Responsible for folding, ironing, sorting, and properly storing all hotel linen and terry items.

Qualifications:

• Ability to interact well with others.
• Experience operating commercial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, ironers, and folders.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 75 lbs.

Essential Functions:

1. Follow daily job tasks assigned by supervisors.
2. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests or complaints, notifying supervisors as needed.
3. Recognize guests by name and express appreciation for their patronage.
4. Sort linen daily and operate laundry equipment properly.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
6. Ensure equipment is turned off and safe at the end of each shift.
7. Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
8. Use protective gear as required when working in the laundry area.
9. Assist colleagues with their tasks when necessary.
10. Adhere to hotel policies and report violations.
11. Help with loading closets and other duties as assigned.
12. Work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends, as needed.

Marginal Functions:

• Interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
