Job summary

Hampton Inn by Hilton Cincinnati Airport South is seeking a Full-Time Hotel Laundry Attendant to join our Commonwealth Hotels team.

In this role you will sort and clean laundry, operate industrial washers and dryers, check linens for damage, and stock towels and sheets for housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities for the Part-Time Hotel Laundry Attendant include:

Sorting and Cleaning Laundry

• Sort soiled linens, towels, and uniforms by color, fabric type, and level of soiling.
• Wash, dry, and fold items according to hotel procedures and care instructions.

Operating Laundry Equipment

• Use industrial washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment for proper functioning and report any malfunctions or repairs needed.

Inspecting Laundry Items

• Check for stains, tears, or damage on linens and garments.
• Treat stains and perform minor repairs (e.g., sewing small tears or replacing buttons).

Stocking and Delivering Linens

• Restock clean linens and towels in storage areas or deliver them to housekeeping or other departments as needed.
• Keep an accurate inventory of linens to ensure adequate supply levels.
• Clean and organize the laundry room to maintain hygiene and operational efficiency.
• Dispose of trash, lint, and other waste materials properly.

Adhering to Safety and Quality Standards

• Follow health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with hotel and brand quality standards for laundered items.
• Assist housekeeping staff with additional laundry-related tasks, such as collecting used linens from guest rooms.
• Prioritize tasks to ensure laundry is cleaned and delivered in a timely manner, especially during peak times.
