Job summary

Holiday Inn Fargo (Brandt) is looking for a dedicated Laundry Attendant to manage the laundering of linens, towels, and rags for guests. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of housekeeping, a genuine care for customers, and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes performing all stages of laundering, inspecting linens for quality, and maintaining laundry facilities. Along with fulfilling these duties, the position offers several employee benefits, including health insurance, a 401(k), and hotel discounts worldwide.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations and procedures.
• Knowledge of proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• General knowledge of equipment such as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers.

Responsibilities

• Perform all stages of laundering including sorting, loading, and delivering linens.
• Inspect linens for tears and ensure they meet standards.
• Maintain clean laundry room and inform of maintenance needs.

Job description

As Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for using laundering machines to provide clean articles such as linens, towels, and rags for our guests. You will also sort, fold and stock the clean linen backup in storage. If you have great attention to detail, take direction well, and like to follow a consistent routine, this might be just the job for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform all stages of laundering process including, but not limited to collecting, transporting, sorting, loading and unloading, folding, storing, and delivering.
• Ensure sheets, other bed linens, towels and other linens are laundered to standards set forth by brand and hotel management.
• Iron and press linens, as necessary.
• Inspect linen on regular basis for tears, holes, or sub-standard conditions and remove from inventory.
• Handle contaminated articles per company, franchise, and OSHA standards.
• Maintain clean laundry room and facilities; inform appropriate personnel of maintenance needs.
• Maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies and linen; inform the Executive Housekeeper of any inventory needs.
• Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
