Job summary

Westmont Hospitality is seeking a PM Laundry Attendant in Denver to ensure efficient retrieval, processing, and distribution of laundry for our guests. You will operate ironing and folder machines, sort items by type and size, and maintain cleanliness in the laundry area.

No prior experience is required; any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills is acceptable. The role offers competitive pay, benefits, and the chance to join a great team of hospitality

Responsibilities

• Sort stained/damaged items and determine status for rewash or discard; maintain inventory of discarded items.
• Operate ironing and folder machines according to specifications, processing cleaned articles.
• Fold cleaned articles and stack by type and size in designated areas.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer filters as specified.
• Use cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
• Check working condition and cleanliness of laundry machinery.
• Monitor usage of chemicals and water to maximize consumption.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout shift.
• Restock work areas for next shift as assigned.
• Turn in lost and found items and guest room keys.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Follow safety and security procedures and rules.
• Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
• Utilize protective equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries or loss to management.
• Provide a safe work environment by following procedures and rules.
• Maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per handbook.
• Perform related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
• Assist other Housekeeping Personnel as needed.

PM Laundry Attendant

Assure efficient retrieval, processing, and distribution of laundry in order to provide laundry services to our guests.

Essential Job Functions

• Sort all stained/damaged items and determine status for rewash or discard; maintain continuous inventory of discarded items.
• Operate the ironing and folder machines according to specifications, while processing cleaned articles through the machines.
• Fold cleaned articles and stack into designated amounts by type and size. Place stacks in specified areas of distribution.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer filters as specified in departmental procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
• Check the working condition and cleanliness of laundry machinery.
• Monitor usage of chemicals and water to maximize consumption.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout shift.
• Restock work areas for next shift as assigned.
• Turns in all lost and found items and all guest room keys.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Push Heavy carts.
• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to Lift, Push & Pull up to (50) pounds required.
• Frequent bending while loading/unloading washers/dryers, sorting linen and folding
• Continuous movement throughout department
• Standing is required during the entire shift.
• Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
