Position Summary: The Laundry Attendant position is responsible for cleaning and monitoring hotel linens and terry by washing, drying, and ironing. Providing timely guest laundry services to Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Hotel departments, with a focus on safety for oneself and others.

Essential Job Functions

• Identify stained or damaged items and determine whether to repair, rewash, or discard.
• Inspect cleanliness of laundered articles and organize in clean linen carts.
• Set dryers to appropriate times and temperatures based on fabric types.
• Remove lint and debris from dryers, filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Fold articles into designated sizes manually or with a folding machine.
• Maintain accurate records of laundered items.
• Deliver folded linen to storage areas.
• Follow all safety and security policies.
• Maintain a clean uniform and personal appearance.
• Greet and acknowledge guests per company standards.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Communicate clearly and professionally.
• Answer phones courteously.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards.
• Keep laundry surroundings clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Experience

Prior laundry experience preferred.

Hours Required

Varied days and times based on hotel needs; ability to work weekends and holidays required.

Physical Demands

Ability to move, lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
