Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Laundry Attendant to process soiled linens and maintain quality standards. You will operate laundry equipment, weigh items, and ensure timely, courteous guest service as part of the housekeeping team.

Responsibilities include sorting, operating washers/dryers, and logging found items, with a focus on safety and efficiency. No prior experience required; HS diploma preferred. On-site position with benefits.

• Ability to recognize and work with numbers.
• Operate industrial laundry equipment.
• Communicate information, respond to questions, and provide directions and hotel services to guests, vendors, staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and weigh soiled linen; place into containers.
• Process sorted linen using washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeders to meet quality standards.
• Turn in all items from Laundry Chute/Department to the supervisor for Lost and Found logging.
• Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems/complaints to achieve satisfaction.
• Report malfunctioning or damaged equipment to the supervisor.
• Notify supervisor of supplies, damaged linens or hazards to ensure efficient operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

POSITION PROFILE

Process soiled linen and distribute clean linen in accordance with standard operating procedures in a safe, accident-free manner, as assigned by management.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES

• Receive, sort and weigh soiled linen; place into appropriate containers.
• Process sorted linen utilizing the washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeder/folders ensuring finished- product is inspected and meets quality standards.
• Turn in all articles found in Laundry Chute/Department to the Supervisor to log in Lost and Found
• Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems/complaints as they may arise to achieve guest satisfaction.
• Report any malfunctioning or damaged equipment, or mechanical problems to the Supervisor.
• Notify supervisor of supplies needed, damaged linens or hazards to the department to ensure laundry operation is running at maximum efficiency level.
• Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
