Job summary

Blue Beard's Castle Resort in the United States Virgin Islands is hiring a Laundry Attendant to support the housekeeping team. You’ll help ensure linens, towels, and supplies are cleaned, prepared, and ready to deliver exceptional comfort to guests each day.

This essential role requires attention to detail and the ability to operate commercial laundry machines safely. Weekend and holiday work may be required, with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate commercial laundry equipment.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is a plus — but not required!

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of laundry — washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens
• Keep laundry equipment clean and functioning, including emptying lint traps twice daily
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laundry room, hallways, and employee areas
• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and ironing equipment safely
• Sort, fold, iron, and inspect linens to ensure top-quality standards
• Prepare linens for housekeeping carts, closets, and pool towel service
• Assist with pool area towel needs and help keep pool and deck furniture tidy
• Deep clean lobby restrooms, pool restrooms, and disinfect the gym when assigned
• Stock and organize housekeeping supplies for the next day’s operations
• Maintain the employee break room, including prepping coffee and cleaning common areas
• Sweep, mop, and keep work areas spotless throughout the day
• Respond to guest or MOD requests, including disinfecting tasks
• Perform additional cleaning duties as needed to support the team

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift, pull and or push up to 40lbs, move, stand, walk, traverse, crouch/stoop, kneel, repetitive hand/wrist motion, reach, bend, see, recognize, distinguish, convey information and converse with staff & guests with great consistency.
