Job summary

VH Hospitality is seeking a Laundry Attendant at the Double Tree Bloomington Minneapolis South to support daily laundry and housekeeping operations, ensuring linen cleanliness, availability and presentation for guests.

You will handle linen processing, maintain the laundry area, monitor inventory, assist with equipment upkeep, and respond promptly to guest requests, including weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule.

• Open availability Monday–Sunday, including weekends.
• Willingness to work a rotating schedule to meet hotel needs.

Responsibilities

• Keep linens clean and ready by sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding and delivering.
• Maintain the laundry area and equipment in good working order.
• Monitor and manage linen and laundry supplies inventory.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks and special projects as needed.
• Respond courteously to guest requests and resolve laundry/housekeeping issues promptly.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Laundry Attendant reports directly to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for supporting the hotel’s day-to‑day laundry and housekeeping operations by ensuring consistency in linen cleanliness, availability, and presentation to guests.

• Keep linens clean and ready: Handle all stages of linen processing, including collecting, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and delivering clean linens
• Maintain the laundry area: Keep laundry machines and work areas clean and in good working order
• Manage inventory: Monitor and maintain stock levels of linens and laundry supplies
• Support equipment and property maintenance: Identify and report any repair needs or maintenance deficiencies to ensure a well‑kept property
• Ensure an orderly workspace: Keep all designated areas clean, neat, and organized, including assigned offices, desks, supply rooms, and storage carts to ensure efficient hotel operations
• Delight our guests: Respond courteously to guest requests, prepare requested items, and resolve laundry and housekeeping service requests promptly
• Handle special projects: Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks as needed or required by brand standards

Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must report to work on time
• Must be present and able to work all shifts on‑site
• Must have open availability Monday‑Sunday and be available to work weekends
• Must be able to work the necessary hours and a rotating schedule to meet the operational needs of the business, including days, weekends, holidays and key events
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be currently eligible to work in the United States of America and able to present required identity and employment authorization documents as required to complete the Form I‑9, Employment Eligibility Verification, on the first day of employment.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.

AVAILABILITY

Double Tree Bloomington Minneapolis South operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed work day, to include Holidays, or time of work if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the amount of hours per week that you will work and that hours may fluctuate each week based on the needs of a 24/7 operation, including days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
