Job summary

DoubleTree Bloomington Minneapolis South is hiring a Laundry Attendant to support hotel laundry and housekeeping operations. You will ensure linen cleanliness, availability, and presentation while delivering courteous service to guests.

Join a team focused on operational excellence, maintaining clean facilities, and enabling smooth 24/7 hotel operations. This role requires on-site work, flexibility across shifts, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and complete I-9 on day one.
• Must report to work on time.
• Must be able to work all shifts on-site.
• Must be available to work weekends (Fri–Sun).

Responsibilities

• Handle linen processing from collection to delivery (washing, drying, ironing, folding).
• Maintain and clean the laundry area and equipment.
• Monitor inventory of linens and supplies.
• Report maintenance needs to keep the property in good condition.
• Keep workspaces organized for efficient operations.
• Respond to guest requests and resolve service issues promptly.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks as needed.

Our Housekeeping team plays a key role in driving operational and service excellence across the entire property by ensuring that Laundry and Housekeeping services consistently support exceptional guest experiences, financial performance, long-term business goals, and the overall success of the property.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Laundry Attendant reports directly to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for supporting the hotel’s day-to-day laundry and housekeeping operations by ensuring consistency in linen cleanliness, availability, and presentation to guests.

• Keep linens clean and ready: Handle all stages of linen processing, including collecting, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and delivering clean linens
• Maintain the laundry area: Keep laundry machines and work areas clean and in good working order
• Manage inventory: Monitor and maintain stock levels of linens and laundry supplies
• Support equipment and property maintenance: Identify and report any repair needs or maintenance deficiencies to ensure a well-kept property
• Ensure an orderly workspace: Keep all designated areas clean, neat, and organized, including assigned offices, desks, supply rooms, and storage carts to ensure efficient hotel operations
• Delight our guests: Respond courteously to guest requests, prepare requested items, and resolve laundry and housekeeping service requests promptly
• Handle special projects: Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks as needed or required by brand standards

Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must report to work on time
• Must be present and able to work all shifts on-site
• Must have availability to work weekends, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
• Must be able to work the necessary hours and a rotating schedule to meet the operational needs of the business, including days, weekends, holidays and key events
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be currently eligible to work in the United States of America and able to present required identity and employment authorization documents as required to complete the Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, on the first day of employment.

AVAILABILITY

Double Tree Bloomington Minneapolis South operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed work day, to include Holidays, or time of work if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the amount of hours per week that you will work and that hours may fluctuate each week based on the needs of a 24/7 operation, including days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
