Job summary

Cypress Village Retirement is seeking a Full‑time Laundry Associate in Jacksonville, FL. The role pays $15.00 per hour and prefers prior laundry experience. A valid driver’s license is required.

You will handle community and health center laundry and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met. Responsibilities include sorting, washing, and distributing laundry, maintaining equipment and supplies, and participating in training sessions.

Qualifications

• Commercial laundry experience is desirable.
• Ability to process 50–100 pounds of laundry at one time.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Moderate‑to‑heavy physical effort 80% of the workday; lift and carry up to 30 lbs. independently; push or pull wheeled carts and equipment up to 100 lbs. over tiled or carpeted surfaces; stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop 90% of workday; may be exposed to communicable diseases from contaminated linens; may be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat and cleaning chemicals; moderate‑to‑heavy effort 80% of time.
