Work Hours/Shift:

• 5:00 am to 1:30 pm

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Meeting linen production standards set by AdventHealth Laundry, operating all equipment safely and efficiently, and ensuring proper settings for each type of linen.
• Keys in proper codes on the computer to ensure all customer codes and goods are stored correctly. Monitors machine operation to ensure proper pre-programmed sequences for linen processing.
• Utilizes PPE. Dumps soiled linen onto the conveyor at a consistent speed. Sorts linen from different accounts into respective classifications. Looks for and removes foreign objects, including OR instruments, needles, trash, etc., placing them in designated locations.
• Uses hard hat when operating manual lifts. Loads small washers by hand, entering the proper code and formula to start washers. Unloads clean linen into baskets and delivers them to proper locations.
• Checks dryer displays for load type. Loads dryers with properly-sized loads, setting appropriate time, temperature, and cool-down periods.

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual - English required; basic Spanish verbal and written communication skills preferred.

Job Summary:

The Laundry Assistant II places soiled linen on the conveyor and sorts it. Operates small washers and dryers and oversees the flow of clean linen from presses into sling bags. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all.
