Job summary

Avir Health Group is hiring a Laundry Operator to manage the full laundering process for residents' personal items and linens under the Housekeeping Director's guidance. You will oversee equipment use and ensure high-quality care of residents' belongings.

Responsibilities include collecting soiled laundry, sorting, laundering, and coordinating with dry-cleaners on a weekly cycle, while also handling linens, aprons, and towels. Prior nursing home experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience handling laundry operations in a care facility is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow proper laundering methods.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled laundry from residents.
• Sort laundry and tag appropriately.
• Launder items, labeling dry-cleaned items and coordinating with dry-cleaners weekly.
• Launder facility linens, towels, and dietary aprons.
• Dry laundry thoroughly and steam-press as needed.
• Return clean laundry to residents.

Job description

We are seeking a Laundry Operator to join our team! The Laundry Operator will be responsible for the complete laundering of the residents’ personal items and table linens under the direction of the Housekeeping Director. It will be the responsibility of the Laundry Operator to have full working knowledge of the laundry equipment and proper method of laundering items, to ensure the highest quality of care of the residents’ personal belongings.

Responsibilities:

• Collect soiled laundry from residents.
• Sort laundry and tag appropriately.
• Launder all items appropriately (all items to be dry-cleaned shall be labeled, sent to the dry-cleaners, and received from the dry-cleaners on a regular weekly schedule).
• Launder facility linens, dietary aprons, towels, etc.
• Dry laundry appropriately.
• Steam presses items as needed.
• Return clean laundry to residents.

Qualifications:

• Previous nursing home experience preferred
