Job summary

The Gardens at York Terrace in Pottsville, PA is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility. This part-time role (approximately 15 hours per week) features an evening shift, and requires working every other weekend and a combination of holidays.

You will manage resident and facility laundry, maintain clean laundry areas, and follow infection control procedures while supporting a welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, cleaning, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with laundry equipment, cleaning materials, and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Place soiled facility and resident personal linen into washing machines
• Fold, hang, transport, and distribute resident personal laundry to resident rooms
• Hang clothing in closets and place clothing in drawers as needed
• Sort, wash, dry, and organize laundry according to facility procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
• Follow infection control, safety, and laundry handling procedures
• Assist with linen inventory and distribution throughout the facility

The Gardens at York Terrace is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility in Pottsville, PA. This position plays an important role in ensuring residents receive clean, properly cared-for linens and personal clothing while maintaining a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Position Details

• Part-Time (Approximately 15 Hours Per Week)
• Evening Shift
• Every Other Weekend Required (EOW)
• Required to Work 3 Holidays Per Year and Off 3 Holidays Per Year
