Job description

Laundry Assistant (Finance)

Performs the day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards/regulations and company policies. Ensures the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner and that an adequate supply of linens is on hand to meet residents' needs.

Responsibilities include:

1. Handling all laundry duties, including collecting, sorting, and storing soiled laundry and linens.
2. Separating items requiring special stain removal or treatment.
3. Washing items according to established procedures.
4. Folding, counting, stacking, hanging, and distributing clean laundry, linens, and garments.
5. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area, including cleaning floors, walls, ceilings, and equipment.
6. Properly discarding waste and using cleaning chemicals safely.
7. Monitoring and reporting laundry supply inventory levels.
8. Reporting equipment issues to supervisors.
9. Attending training sessions, in-services, and staff meetings.
10. Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety practices.

Salary Range

Minimum: $10.19 per hour
Maximum: $12.74 per hour
