Position Summary

The Laundry Aide performs daily laundry services, ensuring patients' laundry needs are met in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Prior healthcare experience preferred

Specific Job Requirements

• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Knowledgeable of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in a post-acute care facility
• Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
• Maintain professional relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information
• Follow company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures
• Adhere to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and complete mandatory compliance training

Essential Functions

• Perform daily laundry functions: collecting, sorting, ironing, folding, stacking, hanging, and distributing
• Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude towards patients
• Assist in patient evacuation when needed
• Maintain dependable, regular attendance
• Use reasoning skills and good judgment
• Communicate effectively and work productively within an interdisciplinary team
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during work hours
• Read, write, speak, and understand English
