Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Laundry Aide to perform daily laundry tasks for patients in a post-acute care setting, ensuring quality service and adherence to regulations.

The role requires the ability to make independent decisions, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively with staff while upholding Life Care’s Code of Conduct and safety standards. Strong attendance and professional conduct are essential in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Prior health care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital/healthcare sanitation standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform day to day laundry functions: collecting, sorting, ironing, folding, distributing.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients when needed.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
• Communicate effectively and work on an interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain patient rights, safety, and sanitation standards.

Position Summary

The Laundry Aide performs day to day laundry services ensuring patients’ laundry needs are met in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, And Licensure Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Prior health care experience preferred

Specific Job Requirements

• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
• Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
