Job summary

Life Care Centers of America in Medina, OH is seeking a Part-time Laundry Aide to ensure patients’ laundry needs are met with care and efficiency.

You will work every other Friday and Saturday from 11 pm to 7 am and every other holiday, performing day-to-day laundry tasks, maintaining sanitation, and supporting an interdisciplinary team. This role requires reliability and a patient-focused approach.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Prior health care experience preferred.
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities.
• Follow and implement department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day laundry functions: collecting, sorting, ironing, folding, stacking, hanging and distributing.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Position Summary

The Laundry Aide performs day to day laundry services ensuring patients’ laundry needs are met in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, And Licensure Requirements

Specific Job Requirements

• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
• Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
