Job summary

Wynfield Park Health & Rehab in Albany, GA is seeking a dedicated part-time Night Laundry Aide to support patient care through clean linens and clothing. The role supports operations with laundry duties, stain removal, and sanitation, contributing to a respectful, service-oriented environment.

Starting pay is $14.20 per hour with weekly pay, and a benefits package including PTO, holidays, and retirement options.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sort and prepare clothes and linens.
• Wash and dry clothes and linens; fold and organize.
• Clean and disinfect linen carts and laundry areas.
• Follow MSDS safety precautions and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Promote a positive image and teamwork within the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Folds and sorts clothes.
• Hangs clothes on racks according to name and numbers.
• Ensures the patients’ clothes are ready to wear and any disrepair put in proper place.
• Understands functions of various soaps and bleaches.
• Follows precautions as stated on MSDS for all chemicals used.
• Washes and dries clothes and linens.
• Keeps equipment clean and follows cleaning schedules.
• Sweeps and mops laundry area.
• Empties washers and dryers as requested.
• Cleans and disinfects linen carts as requested.
• Stain removal.
• Promotes the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication.
• Contributes to the work of committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System.
• Performs other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.

• Communicates well with other associates, patients, family members, and visitors providing warm and friendly greeting and an approachable attitude. Responds to expressed concerns while displaying a helpful, caring demeanor, answers questions when appropriate in a professional manner.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or its equivalent preferred.

None.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram format. The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
