Bayview Seattle is seeking a Laundry Aide for the Laundry Department. Schedule is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, full-time. Salary starts at $22.00 per hour, DOE, non-exempt.

The role supports Bayview residents by sorting, washing, drying, and folding a high volume of textiles with attention to infection control. The position requires English communication, basic knowledge of infectious-disease transmission, and careful use of laundry equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of transmission of infectious diseases and universal precautions.
• Read English instructions for washers/dryers and chemical precautions.
• Experience with the full spectrum of laundry duties and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold a high volume of cloth items safely.
• Perform duties in a timely, efficient manner while minimizing infection risk.
• Ensure proper handling of detergents and machine operations.
