Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a dedicated laundry and housekeeping assistant for our nursing home facility. The role focuses on providing clean linen and maintaining sanitary conditions to ensure resident comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate has a GED or high school diploma, and about one year of prior laundry experience is preferred. Training will cover all safety and sanitary procedures and equipment operation within a climate of respect and teamwork.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• One year of laundry/housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow directions related to procedures.
• Basic math skills for inventory and handling items.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for residents' care and comfort.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove damaged items.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new residents' clothing items as needed.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary processes and procedures for laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Operate laundry equipment safely.
• Report equipment issues to the Administrator.
